The RevRec Summit held in Dallas, TX on August 12th by SAP, EY and Bramasol was a great success, with more than 30 attendees from companies spanning a variety of industries.
As part of an on-going series focusing on the implications of the new Revenue Recognition standard as well as issues arising under current RevRec accounting rules, the Dallas Summit gave participants a great opportunity to learn from implementations already completed and to share ideas with their peers.
Each summit in this series is a half-day share forum. It is designed to facilitate discussions of the typical system life-cycle activities for analyzing the system support required to implement the new RevRec standard.
Topics covered include:
- Update on the standard-setting environment, peer company activities and lessons learned
- Overview of process and systems (technology) implications during transition and day two
- Examples of specific business requirements and how SAP’s Revenue Accounting and Reporting (RAR) solution has been designed to address them
- SAP’s potential place in the overall process and systems landscape for compliance with the new revenue recognition rules
The next RevRec Summit will be in Houston, TX on August 20th.
